Home Care and Baby care at Volkswagen do Brasil (The Home Care Program)

Vision/mission:

The Baby Care program focuses on the welfare of the next generation and provides expert support for parents and their newborn babies in the first few weeks and months. The program caters for all ages with chronic conditions and offers both medical care and supportive outpatient care.

JobReha (The RehaFit program)

Vision/mission:

The RehaFit program consists of orthopedic, psychological rehabilitation and physiotherapy provision, as well as individual or general rehabilitation training at in-house training centers. It is a one-to-three weeks of outpatient, day-care or in-patient measures focused on the problem zones in the locomotor system.

Program activities

It provides support and mentoring opportunities for employees with mental health or psychosomatic problems on an ongoing basis.

Compulsory and obligatory - one must be insured, if one is an employee, and earns more than 450 € per month. The program offers an attractive bonus program "AktivFit“ 200 € for a member, 100 € for an accompanying family member; Supports prevention courses at the high rate of 180 € per year; Offers a special health week “Gesundheitswoche” supported with 175 €; Pays expenses for protective inoculations (also for private journeys abroad).

Financial outcome

  • Pays for house help, in case of the illness of the person who does it normally;
  • pays a subsidy of 13 € per day to outpatient preventative care (spa therapy).

Health outcome:

  • Offers prevention programs for mothers and children
  • Bears the expenses of homoeopathic treatments with participating doctors ;

Occupational Safety and Health Protection Policy

Vision/mission:

In 2014, the Group issued the corporate policy entitled “Occupational Safety and Health Protection in the Volkswagen Group”. This applies to all brands and companies and sets out underlying goals, responsibilities and standards in relation to occupational safety and health protection.

Strategy:

The Volkswagen Group sets the same standards for work organization, occupational safety and health care for its employees no matter where in the world it operates, taking account of the local medical infrastructure and the local legislative framework in each case. Compliance with these globally applicable standards is monitored through audits conducted across the Group.
